The following
are basic contest rules applying to any and
all contests aired on WWCT FM. Each contest
may have its own special qualifications and
eligibility rules, in which case a separate
list of rules will be available for public
inspection.
All WWCT FM contests
are open to all listeners, unless a specific
age is required and specified by advertising,
agency, or by WWCT FM.
All prizes, unless
otherwise specified by WWCT FM must be picked
up within thirty (30) days from the date won,
between regular business hours. Business hours
are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm,
with the exception of holidays. The WWCT FM
studio and office is located at 4234 North
Brandywine Dr., Suite D, Peoria, IL 61614.
Holidays are included in the 30 day pick-up
period. WWCT FM will not notify winners of
time remaining on prizes to be picked up. It
is the winners responsibility to claim their
prize within the time frame.
All prizes not
claimed within the 30 day period will become
the property of WWCT FM who at their discretion,
will award the prize to another listener, either
in the same contest, or at a later date and
separate contest. An attempt will be made to
award all grand prizes, whether claimed by
the original winner or not.
All prizes are
non-transferable by the winner, unless otherwise
authorized by WWCT FM.
WWCT FM is not
responsible for any misdirected or wrongly
addressed mail in regard to contests, including
misdirected mail routing by the postal service
or private delivery service.
WWCT FM is not
responsible for undelivered email. WWCT FM
is not responsible for incorrect information
submitted via email contests.
Payment of all
federal, state, and local taxes is the sole
responsibility of the winner. Winners may be
required to sign an IRS form 1099 or equivalent
when they accumulate $600.00 or more in the
total value of their prizes throughout the
calendar year.
By participating
in the contest, the winner or winners agree
to have their name, voice, or likeness used
in any advertising or broadcasting material
relating to aforementioned contest
The winner must
provide the WWCT FM air talent with all information
including name, address, phone number, and
age at the time they have won a prize.
This information
must be correct. Any falsified information
will forfeit the winner from receiving the
prize they won.
WWCT FM is not responsible for issues regarding
telephones and cellular telephones including
hang-ups and disconnections. In the event of
an inaudible or disconnected phone, the next
caller will be taken and awarded the prize.
Any phone charges including cellular phones
incurred in any WWCT FM contest is the sole
responsibility of the winner. Any dispute over
a telephone line malfunction becomes the decision
of the WWCT FM management and any decision
is final.
In the even that
two (2) telephone lines are “tied together” during
a phone-in contest, the entire call will be
disqualified, and another call will be taken.WWCT
FM cannot award duplicate prizes to both parties
in a “tied together” situation,
which is a circumstance beyond our control.
WWCT FM may, due
to the availability of prizes awarded, substitute
another prize for the approximate value (in
dollars) of the original prize awarded. WWCT
FM prizes have no cash value.
WWCT FM allows
listeners to win as many times as they wish
to participate unless otherwise stated. Contestants
may qualify as often as they wish, for those
contests that require qualification, unless
otherwise specified.
Employees of WWCT
FM, Independence Media Group and their relatives,
their advertising agencies or representatives,
vendors, attorneys, contractors, assignees
and employees of other radio stations and participating
sponsors, and their immediate families, are
ineligible to enter or participate in any and
all WWCT FM contests.
Prizes may not
be mailed to our listeners. All prizes must
be claimed in person and signed for by the
winner. Winners must present a photo I.D. and
proof of Social Security number upon release
of a WWCT FM prize. Winner will be required
to sign a “Release of Prize” form
and a 1099 form upon release of prize. Listeners
under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal
guardian pick up their prize and the parent
or legal guardian must have a photo I.D. and
proof of Social Security number.
WWCT FM their
agencies, sponsors, employees, and representatives
absolve themselves and shall be held harmless
from any action or liability arising from any
WWCT FM contest or the prize awarded in the
contest.
All contestant
entries become the property of WWCT FM. WWCT
FM may retain any or all contest materials
for any reason that the station’s management
deems crucial to the completion of the contest,
or for reasons relating to publicity and/or
advertising. Unless otherwise stated, multiple
entries by the same person or family will be
discarded and be redeemed by station management
as cause for disqualification.
Contests conducted
at facilities with an age requirement of 21
years and older, shall exclude participants
who cannot prove they meet this requirement.
WWCT FM reserves
the right to make changes in the rules of the
contest which will become effective upon announcement.
No purchase necessary.
WWCT FM contests are void where prohibited.
Failure to comply
with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s
disqualification.
